B1-5 Mzimvubu Mzimvubu Water Project

The original project cost estimation done in 2017 is stated as R15.23billion.Stage 2: R 2463 million Stage 3: R 7540 million (BDS) + R 1163 million (WTW) = R 8703 million Stage 4: R 3928 million. The Department will fund Stage 1 (Advance works) from its own Augmentation Fund .In an attempt to reconfigure the project to be more affordable, Stage 4was deferred and Stage 3 amended downwards. The amended estimated cost: Stage 2: R 2463mStage 3: R 3500m*Associated Buildings: R 136mTotal: R6099m . The reconfiguration of the BDS is not completed as yet but this is the initial estimation.
